Stroock litigators bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to assist clients involved in complex disputes. With practices based in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, we represent parties in a broad range of cases and appear in state and federal trial courts, appellate courts and before public agencies and arbitration tribunals throughout the country. We are also advocates outside of the courtroom and often engage in pre-litigation dispute resolution, advise on minimizing litigation risk in transactions and counsel on the full range of regulatory issues.
Our litigators include a former Attorney General for the State of New York, former commissioners of regulatory departments of New York City, former lawyers for the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, former prosecutors and former appellate court judges. Many of our litigators are former judicial clerks of federal and state trial and appellate courts. Several alumni of our department are currently serving the public as federal and state court judges.
While Stroock litigators are generalists by training, each of our litigation partners focuses on particular areas of expertise developed over years of concentration. We leverage our core litigation capabilities with support as appropriate by colleagues in our transactional departments, allowing us to quickly assemble teams of attorneys targeted to meet client needs.
Our clients are domestic and international entities, including leading financial services firms, investment companies, corporations, high net-worth individuals and not-for-profit institutions.
We are proud of our award-winning pro bono litigation services in state and federal courts, on behalf of indigent persons and vulnerable groups, as well as a broad range of civic, charitable and non-profit entities.
