Glenn Borin is Co-Manager of the Tax Certiorari Group at Stroock. Mr. Borin works with clients to control real estate tax expense through certiorari proceedings, pre-development planning, exemptions and economic development agreements.
Before joining Stroock, Mr. Borin was Chair of the Assessment Review Commission for Nassau County. Prior to that, he was Deputy Commissioner of NYC’s Department of Finance, Counsel and Chief of Staff for the NYC Tax Commission and Special Tax Certiorari Counsel for the NYC Law Department. He has worked with nearly every real estate tax exemption and abatement program available in New York State and taken part in several thousand cases involving valuation of multifamily, specialty, utility and commercial properties, including many major Manhattan office buildings.
