Mark S. Wintner

Mark S. Wintner concentrates in employee benefits law and executive compensation. Over the past four decades, he has been instrumental in the development of the Firm’s ERISA and Employee Benefits Practice, working in tandem with Stroock insolvency, corporate, real estate, investment management and taxation attorneys.

Mr. Wintner’s expertise covers a broad range of employee benefits issues, including the design, implementation, and compliance aspects of qualified pension, profit sharing, 401(K) and stock bonus plans; ESOPs; multi-employer plans; non-qualified SERPs and other supplemental executive deferred compensation arrangements; stock option and other equity based compensation arrangements; and welfare benefit, cafeteria, and incentive plans. He also advises clients on fiduciary and prohibited transaction rules, and on the interplay between employee benefit plans and corporate transactions such as bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Wintner has lectured and written frequently on various aspects of employee benefits law.
